Completely online. Games are played on Board Game Arena and other platforms. You can create game sessions or sign up for events via Aftergame. Communication happens through Discord.

In addition, there is a wide range of side events and entertainment taking place across platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and Discord. Detailed information can always be found in the description of each individual event.

To join existing games or tournaments on Board Game Arena, you do not need a paid account. You can also participate in premium games this way. A Premium account is only required if you want to create your own premium game tables or if more than one person from the same household wants to play simultaneously.

boardgame.digital currently takes place three times a year:
one main event at the beginning of the year, plus two smaller editions in early summer and shortly before SPIEL Essen as a warm-up event.

Even though tickets for the convention and its events are free and theoretically unlimited, we kindly ask you to register. This helps us and our partners plan the event more effectively. Thank you!

Private game sessions usually have limited seats, so registration — and cancellation if you can no longer attend — is always required.

Yes. You can use Aftergame to join existing events or create your own game sessions.
